Easter is right around the corner and you bet this year will be better than 2020! We were glad last year to help out Calvary Church with a mobile digital billboard in their parking lot to stream their services in the parking lot.
What a difference a year can make…
Hosting Easter Services During the 2020 Pandemic
Just last year Calvary Church in Irving, Texas had a tough experience running Easter services. At this time last year we had to remain socially distanced. Many places were closed and trying to stay open to continue on with a normal life.
Calvary Church solved the problem by providing their community with a mobile digital billboard. This kept the Easter services running during one of the hardest times during the 2020 COVID pandemic.
They hosted and streamed the live church service on multiple mobile digital billboard trucks provided by Bulldog Mobile Billboards to the parked cars outside.
How Calvary Church Planned Their Mobile Digital Billboard Church Service
The Calvary Church in Irving hosted services Easter of 2020 at 7 AM, 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM. Here is what they did to make sure they had a successful Easter service!
- The Calvary Church brought video cables with HDMI connections to two strategically placed LED Digital Advertising Trucks.
- The trucks were staged 100 and 250 feet, respectively, from the stage hosting singers, an organist and the pastor.
- Prior to the live feed, a message was played to tune to a radio station for audio in each car.
- Power was provided for the stage via generator – the mobile digital billboard trucks provided their own power.
- Parking spaces were on an RSVP basis and empty spaces socially distanced each car.
- Offering envelopes were delivered by folks in gloves and masks when hazard lights were turned on. Envelopes were collected in branded buckets.
- The previous day the trucks held a dry run through for practice. Then we drove a promotional message within a five mile radius targeting high traffic areas such as big box membership clubs, grocery stores, home and hardware stores.
- Each service brought an average of 200 vehicles and by the sound of the horn honks, the pastor and entire effort was well received.
- This was a safe, social distant, live music, sermon and much needed service!
